Las dos películas aclamadas por la crítica que lideran las nominaciones a los Critics' Choice Awards

El mismo día que se conocieron las nominaciones a los Globos de Oro, también se revelaron las nominaciones de los Critics' Choice Awards. Los galardones de la Crítica Cinematográfica también reconocen lo mejor de séptimo arte, y gozan de mejor reputación de los mencionados al comienzo.

Este año la 27° edición se encuentra liderada por West Side Story, la reciente remake a cargo de Steven Spielberg, y Belfast, el drama autobiográfico de Kenneth Branagh, cada una de ellas con 11 nominaciones.

La película del director y actor irlandés logró gran cantidad de menciones, especialmente en las categorías principales como Mejor Película, Mejor Director y Mejor Guion Original. Asimismo para cada uno de los protagonistas de la cinta, como es el caso de Caitriona Balfe, Jamie Dornan, Ciarán Hinds y Jude Hill.

Por su parte, West Side Story, también se llevó los honores para algunos de los integrantes del reparto. Entre ellos, Ariana DeBose y Rita Moreno, se colaron en la categoría de Mejor Actriz de Reparto. El resto de las menciones fueron para las categorías técnicas.

Muy de cerca quedaron Dune y The Power of the Dog con 10 nominaciones cada una. Mientras que Licorice Pizza y Nightmare Alley, se quedaron con 8 menciones; y King Richard y Don't Look Up, con 6 cada una.

Los ganadores serán anunciados en la ceremonia de premiación de los Critics' Choice Awards el domingo 9 de enero, y será transmitida por The CW.
