Todos los ganadores de los Premios BAFTA 2022

La temporada de premiaciones entra en su fase final y de a poco comienza a delinearse el camino de los largometrajes favoritos a alzarse con el premio máximo. A pocas semanas de la entrega de los Oscar 2022, fue el turno de la Academia Británica de entregar sus máximos galardones.

En el día de la fecha se entregaron los Premios BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), los premios otorgados por la Academia de cine británica.

A diferencia de la edición anterior, la ceremonia tuvo lugar en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres, donde todos los nominados e invitados volvieron a disfrutar de una gala presencial. La misma, estuvo conducida por la actriz Rebel Wilson.

Una de las grandes candidatas de los BAFTA era Dune, la adaptación de ciencia ficción, que contaba con 11 nominaciones, incluyendo Mejor Película y Mejor Guion Adaptado. La cinta dirigida por Denis Villeneuve se consagró como una de las grandes triunfadores de la noche, arrasando en las principales categorías técnicas para las cuales estaba nominada. Otra de las favoritas era El poder del perro, el drama de Netflix dirigido por Jane Campion, que se quedó con el premio a Mejor Película y Mejor Director. 

Por su parte, Belfast, el drama semiautobiográfico dirigido por Kenneth Branagh, ganó el BAFTA a Mejor Película Británica. En tanto, Jeymes Samuel se quedó con la estatuilla a Mejor Debut de un Director/Guionista británico por The Harder They Fall, el filme de Netflix. 

Por el lado de las actuaciones, Will Smith se quedó con la estatuilla a Mejor Actor por su actuación en King Richard, mientras que Joanna Scanlan se quedó con el galardón a Mejor Actriz por su rol en After Love. Por el lado de las categorías secundarias, Troy Kotsur, quien la semana pasada se alzó con el SAG Awards a Mejor Actor de Reparto por CODA, repitió en los BAFTA. De igual manera, Ariana Debose, volvió a imponerse por su actuación en West Side Story, por lo que ya se perfilan como los favoritos para el Oscar.
